These are the faces of the NEW age discrimination. Since the Civil Rights movement, we have had many GREAT people of color representing HUMANITY. Their selfless acts stand out in huge ways, even today. We honor them and build upon their legacies to move forward, right?? However, in today's world tolerance, hate and blatant discrimination are ever present. Those leaders, like Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks died defending THIS Nation, regardless of color, not dividing us! And I'm NOT talking about celebrities, sports figures or musicians either. Give me a freakin break! Just because you see their faces on TV does it mean they are great. Money, or lot's of it, do NOT make people great. I'm sick of the Oprah Winfrey's of this Nation. Meaningless babble and nonsense! In 10 years are we gonna even remember her for anything great, really? Maybe that she was on the cover of #forbes magazine and black, but that means nothing! In the past 8 years I have seen more hatred and discrimination then I ever did growing up in the 60's. I come from the Projects! Do you even know what that is?? My family before me lived in the Barrio (spanish for ghetto).in #puertorico SO before you get on your holier-than-thou soapbox, be sure you have a leg to stand on! We have taken a HUGE step back in time. The black people who have made a difference did it for nothing in the past 50 years (I'm 55). So the white privileged people, or the youth today that were brought up to feel entitled, have been lead down a road of lies and continue to prove it daily! Look hard people. Unless you have grown up in the poorest conditions, you will always feel that, "We didn't have it so bad" mentality. You are dead wrong, and dare I say CLUELESS! So again I say.....before you jump on your soapboxes, know what the fuck needs to be said, and don't go out of your way to prove that YOU are important. The black community that think we have evolved are part of the problem. We are right back where we started. Slaves to ignorance and a people who want something for nothing no matter who it hurts. I'm so ashamed of some people I considered friends spewing out the same crap Obummer has the past 8 years. I'M IMPORTANT I'M IMPORTANT I'M IMPORTANT AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS!! Shame on you!!!
